Chicken Biryani

  • 1 can Sambar Kitchen Tomato Cooking Sauce
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts cut into 1 inch pieces
  • 3 cups chicken stock
  • 1 1/2 cups basmati rice
  • 4 small potatoes, peeled and halved
  • 2 large onions, finely chopped
  • 2 medium tomatoes, peeled and chopped

Place the rice and chicken in the bottom of the crock pot. Next, cover with the chicken stock and tomato cooking sauce. Add the potatoes, onions, along with the tomatoes. Cook on high for 3.5-4 hours until the rice has absorbed the liquid. Finally, serve warm and enjoy!

Channa Masala

First, add the onion and butter to a sauté pan and sauté for about 10 minutes. Second, add the tomato and sauté for an additional 5 minutes. Transfer to the crockpot and add the chickpeas and Channa Masala Cooking Sauce. Cook on low for 6 hours. Lastly, serve with fresh cilantro leaves, if desired.

Madras Lentils

Start by washing and finely dicing the potato and onion. Next, sauté the onion and butter over medium heat until slightly brown. Now add the potato, onion, lentils, and sauce to the crockpot. Cook on high for 3.5-4 hours. Serve with rice or quinoa.
