Indian Cuisine-Inspired Comfort Food: Savory Sambar Black Bean Chili
Chili has formed into a staple for comfort food enthusiasts in North America. Chili gained popularity for a savory mix of herbs, spices, and meat- but can be enjoyed meatless!
At Sambar Kitchen, we’re always looking for ways to spice up traditional meals while being conscious of all cultures and dietary restrictions, and this recipe is no different! Chili usually features a tomato sauce base, so we thought it would make perfect sense to substitute a boring tomato sauce with our NEW Fusion Meal, Pasta and Pizza sauce with an Indian flair.
This new sauce features spices that are frequently used in Indian cuisine, like cumin and fresh ginger, which all have specific health benefits (and taste great!)
- 1 Lb of ground meat – beef, turkey etc

- 1 red pepper, diced
- Dash white pepper
- Dash turmeric
- Dash Cayenne
